PSYCHOLOGY

A psychologist is an expert in human behavior, cognition, and emotion. They can help people to manage a variety of issues, including mental health disorders, relationship problems, attention difficulties, behavioural issues, self-esteem concerns, personal growth, coping with chronic illness, disability, grief, and loss. Our registered psychologist, Megan Macoun (formerly Callow), is trained and skilled in using evidence-based techniques to assess and treat mental health conditions, helping individuals, couples, and families to understand and better manage their emotions, to cope with life’s challenges, and to make positive behavioural changes. Psychologists play an important role in providing comprehensive mental health care and promoting overall wellbeing.

The Good Group Clinic acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and provide care, the Turrbal people, and specifically, the Coorparoo Clan. We extend our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present. We acknowledge that community, connection, and belonging are essential aspects of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, reflecting the values of respect, reciprocity and responsibility that underpin the relationship between people, land, ancestors and the spiritual realm - a source of guidance, wisdom and healing.

We welcome and celebrate the diversity of cultures, beliefs and identities that enrich our community and our clinic. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful space for everyone who seeks our support and care. May we continue to learn from each as we share this beautiful land together.
