OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

An Occupational Therapist is an allied health professional who helps people of all ages to develop, recover and maintain participation in meaningful activities that they are unable or limited in doing due to physical, emotional, developmental, or social challenges. They focus on helping people improve their physical, cognitive, and motor skills, as well as their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. Our Occupational Therapist, Dr Carina Capra, is trained to use a variety of tools and approaches, such as cognitive assessments and sensory strategies to help people to learn skills so they can lead meaningful and productive lives and to, ultimately, reach their full potential.

The Good Group Clinic acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and provide care, the Turrbal people, and specifically, the Coorparoo Clan. We extend our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders past and present. We acknowledge that community, connection, and belonging are essential aspects of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, reflecting the values of respect, reciprocity and responsibility that underpin the relationship between people, land, ancestors and the spiritual realm - a source of guidance, wisdom and healing.

We welcome and celebrate the diversity of cultures, beliefs and identities that enrich our community and our clinic. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and respectful space for everyone who seeks our support and care. May we continue to learn from each as we share this beautiful land together.
